Excellence in Fiber Sculpture: Fine Art at the Intersection of Tradition and Innovation
In a world where machines can replicate almost anything, the artworks we create for you remain true heirlooms - and here’s why:
1
Our art begins with the finest feather-light, formless raw sheep wool fibers — a medium that no machine can transform into the kind of sculptural artworks only the artist’s hand can create.
Sheep’s wool - naturally shapeless and full of living energy - is a perfect medium. It offers limitless freedom: to sculpt any form, to create subtle color transitions, to achieve varied thicknesses and unique textures.
Over the years, we have developed our own approaches to working with fiber. Through the layering and sculpting of amorphous sheep’s wool fibers, we create works that are lightweight yet structurally resilient. Each piece invites touch with its suede-like surface, while remaining hypoallergenic and durable.
Our works are created solely from fibers and is free of any ready-made textiles.
2
Guided by inspiration, we translate ideas into tangible works of art that elevate space and connect people with places.
We immerse ourselves in concepts and ideas that inspire both our clients and us. For each project, we carefully study the client’s vision and the characteristics of the site, selecting the right dimensions, colors, forms, and textures to create a harmonious environment. From this collaborative process, we craft designs and sketches laying the groundwork for unique site-responsive works of art.
3
Our works unite contemporary art with one of humanity’s oldest textile technique — felting — whose earliest known examples date back to around 3000–2500 BCE.
Creating such sculptural works requires deep knowledge and many years of experience, which Alla brings with over 30 years of artistic practice and Milana with more than 10. Each wool sculpture is created entirely by us - Alla and Milana Borovskaia - in our studio in Maryland, USA. Together, we have devoted over 100,000 hours to transforming sheep’s wool into innovative hand-felted art.
Historical background: Felting is recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage in regions such as Mongolia. Some of these felted works have been represented in major museums worldwide, such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Hermitage, Russian Ethnographic Museum, The British Museum, and beyond.
COLOR UP YOUR SPACE WITH RARE, UNIQUE AND VIBRANT ARTWORKS
Our works of art celebrate life’s energy and elevate everyday living. They are a way of expressing gratitude to the Creator for the incredible richness and diversity of the natural world—and for the ability to create something meaningful and entirely new. We believe that the act of creation is a profound gift to humanity, and we strive to honor and use it with purpose.
