Artist Statement

Our works of art reflect our love for life and the people. It serves as an expression of gratitude to the Creator for the amazing beauty and diversity of the world, and also embodies our exploration of the multifaceted nature of existence.  Our preferred artistic medium is shapeless wool fibers, renowned for their tactile warmth and artistic potential. With a legacy of familial artistry and craftsmanship spanning generations, we have cultivated a profound understanding of this material, enabling us to craft intricate works imbued with its unique energy. While shapeless wool fibers remains central to our creative process, we maintain a dynamic approach by actively exploring alternative mediums, additionally our portfolio includes fine art prints on silk and wool. This spirit of experimentation is evident in our works, where diverse mediums intertwine to create multifaceted expressions of our vision. We draw inspiration for our works from a diverse array of sources, likening the experience to falling in love. It's the serendipitous encounter with an object of inspiration that infuses us with energy and introduces new facets to our creative plans. At times, inspiration arises from internal experiences that we translate into tangible forms. We actively engage with the world around us through various avenues, whether it's exploring National Parks and Gardens or local Maryland natural gems or immersing ourselves in different cultures, engaging our senses with smells and tastes,  connections through interactions and communication with people. Contemplation and reflection play a significant role in our creative process.
